Decisions are based on a review of evidence, including accountability data, investigations, and community input, and include placement‑specific exit criteria.

What types of interventions exist
Monitor
Coaches and reports on district governance and operations.
Conservator
All monitor duties plus authority to direct, approve, or disapprove certain actions of the superintendent, board of trustees, and campus principals.
Management team
A team of conservators directs operations in targeted areas of insufficient performance.
Board of managers
Temporarily exercises the powers and duties of the elected board of trustees until exit criteria are met.
