By 2030, at least 60% of Texans will have a degree, certificate, or other postsecondary credential of value as part of Building a Talent Strong Texas initiative. Launched by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, this initiative builds on the progress of the state’s previous plan, 60x30TX, by widening the lens for higher education.
To accelerate student outcomes and meet these goals, the Texas Education Agency adopted a strategic plan centered on four strategic priorities and supported by five key actions. Together, these efforts guide the agency’s work on behalf of more than five million public school students across the state.
