State Performance Plan Indicator 17
The State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) is a comprehensive, ambitious, yet achievable multi-year plan for improving results for children with disabilities. Central to the SSIP is the State-identified Measurable Result (SiMR), which specifies the outcome the State intends to achieve.
Texas identified a goal of increasing the reading proficiency rate for all children with disabilities in grades 4, 8, and high school against grade-level standards, with or without accommodations.
