SPP Indicator Targets

SPPI 11: Measurement

State Performance Plan Indicator (SPPI) 11 measures the percentage of children who were evaluated within 60 days of receiving parental consent for initial evaluation or, if the State establishes a timeframe within which the
evaluation must be conducted, within that timeframe. Texas establishes a state timeline in Texas Education Code §29.004.

SPPI 11: Data Source

The data source for SPPI 11 is the Special Education Data System (SPEDS) Summer submission in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS). Local educational agencies (LEAs) submit student-level data for children who had an eligibility determination date during the annual data collection period.
