Federal and State Reporting

The Office of Special Populations and Student Supports (OSPSS) at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is responsible for meeting state and federal public reporting requirements tied to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The IDEA, Texas Education Code (TEC), and Texas Administrative Code (TAC) provide federal and state legislative authority for data collection and reporting.

State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report

Information about the State’s annual State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR), including copies from the current six-year cycle and the State’s determination of compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), is available on this webpage.

SPP Public Report Generator

The Local Educational Agency State Performance Plan Indicator Reports are published each spring and report local educational agency performance against the State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report targets for Indicators 1-14. Users can view and download reports at the LEA, regional, and state levels.
